French South African Institute of Technology
The French South African Institute of Technology (F’SATI) at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology participates actively in developing national human capacity in space science and technology. F’SATI offers a dual Master’s Programme in Satellite Systems Engineering and uses the CubeSat platform to give students hands-on experience in satellite technology. It is a two-year programme after which students obtain Master’s degrees from CPUT and the Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Electronique et Electrotechnique (ESIEE) in Paris. The main purpose of this satellite engineering programme is to develop engineers and technologists that will support the space industry in South Africa. There are currently 40 postgraduates enrolled in the Programme.
